We aren't born with healthy habits so we must adopt!

Here are ten healthy habits you can adopt for weightloss. Remember that even small changes can add up to big results over time.

    Healthy habits can be developed over time.

    1. Drink plain water. It is much better for you than soda and is calorie free. You will not gain weight drinking water.

    2. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are nutritious and a helpful source of fiber and vitamins.

    3. Make time for exercise whether it is vigorous or exercising while seated. Make time to add exercise in your life. Even if it is only 5 minutes. Some is better than none. You can build up energy for working out over time but you need to start some where.

    4. Avoid stress as much as possible to avoid emotional eating.

    5. Do not bring foods that cause you to lose control into your home. If it is not there then you cannot eat it. You can always reintroduce these foods later.

    Healthy choices should be readily available.

    Following these tips can be very helpful towards losing weight.

    6. Do not leave the house hungry so you are not tempted to eat the first thing you see whether it is healthy or not.

    7. No self sabotage. Do not set yourself up for failure by being negative. You are not the only person on this planet who is over weight or who is trying to lose weight. Others have lost weight and so can you. It is not impossible.

    8. Be sure to get enough rest.

    9. Find a plan and stick to it. If you fail to plan then you plan to fail. Whether you are using a plan you have created or a widely known plan, you will fare much better if you have some sort of rhyme or reason to aid you on your weightloss journey.

    10. When you fall you must get back up. Many times we attempt weight loss and fail for various reasons. However that does not mean that you are a failure. Pick yourself up and start again. If you mess up at one meal get right back on track at the next meal.
